Honey Soy Glazed Salmon

Updated: Oct 9

Man. Just look at that gorgeous piece of salmon. I didn't even make this in my cast iron skillet, and it still has such a great sear!

I love seafood, and salmon makes its way onto my meal plans pretty often. It's light, healthy, and the flavor combinations are endless.

For an easy weeknight dinner (or lunch meal prep), try this flaky seared salmon with my garlic honey soy sauce glaze. It's a one-pan masterpiece - simply cook the salmon, pour in your sauce, and drizzle until you have a tasty entree ready to go!

I like to serve this with crisp broccoli and roasted red potatoes. Did I mention how delicious this sauce is on everything?? The sweet and spicy notes all come together and... *chefs kiss* Don't be afraid to drizzle it all over your entrée and sides when it's time to eat!

Ingredients

Salmon Fillets | 8 oz. | $6.93

Garlic Honey Soy Sauce | 1/2 cup | $0.83

Directions

1. Mix your seasonings for the marinade. For this flavor profile, I like to use salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a bit of jerk seasoning.

2. Rub your seasonings on the salmon fillet and let marinate for about 20 minutes.

3. Heat a large skillet to medium heat. Add a bit of olive oil to the pan to avoid sticking.

4. Place salmon in skillet, skin down, and cook for about 5 minutes.

5. Flip the fillet and sear an additional 3 minutes

My filet was thick, so I adjusted the cooking time slightly to ensure it was cooked through.

6. Remove and set on a clean plate.

7. In the same skillet, pour in the garlic honey soy sauce. It will start to bubble and reduce; when it thickens up, add your salmon back in.

8. Baste your salmon with the sticky sauce. Serve, drizzling any remaining sauce on the plate (I drizzle it on all my veggies and starches too.) Enjoy!
