Baked French Toast Sticks (Freezable!)
Tasty and sweet French toast, but portable! These Baked French Toast Sticks are easy to make and freeze incredibly well, so you can have some anytime.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lots of non-stick cooking spray.These will stick very easily to the foil if you don't use a hefty amount of cooking spray. Cut each slice of bread into 3 pieces, using vertical slices.
In a large bowl shallow enough to dip: Whisk together the cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.This helps avoid the cinnamon floating at the top of your mixture! Whisk in the remaining eggs, brown sugar, and salt. Once that's combined, slowly whisk in the milk.
Dip each stick of bread into the bowl and coat on both sides.
Shake any excess liquid off and add to the lined baking sheet (keeping a little distance between each piece.)
Bake for 15 minutes, then flip and cook for another 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve with fruit, jam, warm maple syrup, and any other toppings of your preference. Enjoy!
Tips & Tricks:
Whisking your cinnamon and nutmeg into the vanilla extract helps avoid floating spices on the top of your mixture.
Freezing Instructions:
Ensure french toast sticks are fully cooled down. Store in a freezer bag.
These can be easily reheated straight from frozen by microwaving for about a minute until warm!
