If your dates aren't super fresh, they may be hardened. You can soften them up by soaking them in hot water for about 20 minutes, then draining the water.
To a food processor, add the softened pitted dates, almond milk, vanilla extract, and salt.
Blend well until fully combined.
If you prefer, you can thin the sauce out with warm water. Pour a couple tablespoons at a time, blending afterwards, to ensure you get the perfect consistency.
Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy!
