Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl wooden or plastic
  • Silicone Spatula
  • Stand Mixer optional
  • Dough Hook Attachment optional, if using a stand mixer

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm (not hot) water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 0.25 oz or 1 ½ teaspoons
  • 1 tablespoon granulated white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour about 295 grams
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, pour in the warm water.
  • Add the active dry yeast and sugar; let sit for 5 minutes until the mixture is frothy.
  • Pour in the olive oil and gently stir with a spatula until combined.
  • Add in the flour and salt; mix with the spatula until a slightly sticky ball forms. Create a dough ball (using a bit more flour if needed.)
  • Transfer your dough ball to a floured surface and knead until the dough is smooth.
  • Roll into your desired shape - This recipe makes one large pizza or two personal pan-sized pizzas.
  • Transfer the shaped dough to a sheet pan, pizza stone, or air fryer tray sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Poke holes in the dough with a fork to avoid the crust puffing up.
  • Preheat traditional oven to 425°F, or an air-fryer to 400°F.

Traditional Oven Instructions

  • Parbake the dough for about 5 minutes on the lower rack.
  • Add the pizza sauce, cheese, and your choice of toppings. Bake at 425°F for about 13-15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is crispy. Enjoy!

Air-Fryer Instructions

  • Parbake the dough for 3-4 minutes until slightly browned.
  • Add the pizza sauce, cheese, and your choice of toppings. Bake at 400°F for another 3-4 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is crispy. Enjoy!

Notes

Tips & Tricks:
When measuring your flour, scoop it into the measuring cup using a spoon and then level off the top when full. This is a more accurate way to get the correct amount of flour instead of scooping it directly from the bag.
Freezing Instructions:
Coat the dough ball with olive oil, then add to a freezer-safe bag and remove all of the air. Seal, and store for up to 3 months.
Thaw overnight in the fridge, then let the dough get to room temperature before shaping.
