Simple Syrup

Simple Syrup really takes on its name - it couldn't be more simple to make right at home. Make a batch and use for drinks, baking, coffee, sauces, and more!

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  • To a pot, add the sugar and water.
  • Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • Once the sugar has completely dissolved, remove the pot from heat and let cool.
  • Store in a glass container with an airtight lid. Enjoy!

Notes

Storage Instructions:
Store in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month. Be sure to let the syrup cool in the pot before transferring to the storage container.
 
Freezing Instructions:
Add the cooled simple syrup to an ice tray and freeze until solid. Transfer each cube of simple syrup to a freezer-safe bag, and store for up to 4 months.
