BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Sliders

BBQ Pulled Jackfruit Sliders are only missing the meat, NOT the flavor. These vegetarian sliders are a tasty and easy substitute on pulled pork sliders. The whole family will want more!

  • 2 Forks for shredding the jackfruit
  • Sheet Pan

Ingredients
  

BBQ Jackfruit

  • 2 count canned young green jackfruit in brine (10 oz. each after draining)
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vegetable bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon burger seasoning
  • 6 tablespoons bbq sauce
  • 12 count slider buns

Burger Toppings

  • pickles
  • coleslaw
  • garlic butter (for the buns)

Instructions

  • Drain the cans of jackfruit, and add the pieces to a large pot with 6 cups of water.
  • Add the bouillon seasoning, and boil for 15 minutes.
  • Let the jackfruit cool slightly, then shred it with a fork. Remove any seeds.
  • Season the shredded jackfruit with the Worcestershire, burger seasoning, and barbecue sauce.
    Stir until well combined.
  • Assemble the sliders on a sheet pan.
    Add pickles to the bottom bun; then, top with the seasoned jackfruit, coleslaw, and the top buns.
  • Brush the top buns with garlic butter and bake on 350℉ for 5 minutes.
  • Serve with fries, chips, or your favorite side salad. Enjoy!

Notes

Storage Instructions:
You can store any leftover sliders in an airtight container (or wrapped in aluminum foil) in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
 
When you're ready to reheat, preheat your oven to 300℉ and bake for 6-8 minutes, until warmed through. You can also add to a toaster oven or air fryer for a few minutes.
