Crispy Baked Carrot Fries

Crispy Baked Carrot Fries are a healthy side dish that's perfect when you have a craving for fries! They surprisingly taste like sweet potato fries, but with half the calories and carbs!

Equipment

  • Vegetable Brush

  • Parchment Paper
  • Sheet Pan

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds whole carrots
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Wash and scrub your carrots, then cut them into matchstick pieces.
    No need to peel!
  • Toss the carrot pieces with the olive oil and all of the dry spices.

Oven Baked Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425℉.
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add the seasoned carrot sticks to the parchment paper, in a single layer.
  • Bake for 20 minutes. Remove and stir the fries around, then bake for an additional 15 minutes until crispy.
  • Sprinkle the optional parsley garnish and serve hot with your favorite fry sauce. Enjoy!

Air Fryer Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 360℉.
  • Add the seasoned carrot sticks to your air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 12 minutes, flipping and stirring halfway through the cooking time.
  • Sprinkle the optional parsley garnish and serve hot with your favorite fry sauce. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks:
Carefully use a sharp knife to easily cut your carrots.
