Equipment

  • 2 Small Mixing Bowls
  • Chef's Knife
  • Sheet Pan
  • Pastry Brush

Ingredients

Lettuce Slaw

  • cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickled jalapeño juice (optional - but recommended!)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon oregano
  • 6 ounces shredded Romaine

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon grated parmesan (optional)

Sliders

  • 12 count Hawaiian rolls
  • 5 slices swiss cheese
  • 12 ounces sliced deli turkey breast

Instructions

Lettuce Slaw

  • In a mixing bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, yellow mustard, pickled jalapeño juice, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and oregano until smooth.
  • Fold the shredded Romaine into the bowl until completely covered.
Set aside in the refrigerator to marinate.

Garlic Butter

  • In another small bowl, stir together the melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and grated parmesan (if using). Set aside.

Slider Assembly

  • Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and add the bottoms to a large sheet pan. Set the tops aside for now.
No need to separate them into 12 individual sliders yet!
  • Place sheets of Swiss cheese on the bottom halves, followed by layers of the turkey breast deli meat.
  • Top the meat and cheese with the other half of the sliced rolls.
  • Brush the garlic butter topping on top of the sliders.
  • Gently toast using the “low broil” setting of your oven for 2-3 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven, remove the tops once more, and place the cold lettuce slaw over all of the sliders.
  • Place the tops back on and slice into 12 even sliders.
  • Serve alongside Crispy Air Fried Potato Wedges, chips, or with other game day spreads like Stovetop Party Meatballs or Hot Crab Spinach Dip. Enjoy!

Notes

Ingredient Notes:
The lettuce slaw will hold its crunch for about an hour if you want to make it beforehand. The flavor increases when it’s been sitting in the fridge!
For a longer-lasting coleslaw, use cabbage like in my Classic Coleslaw with Mayo recipe.

Transporting Notes:
Transporting the sliders? Keep the box and bag that the slider buns come in.
Toast the meat/cheese/bread, then bring the slaw separately and add on top right before serving.

Storage Notes:
You can store any leftover sliders in an airtight container (or wrapped in aluminum foil) in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
When you're ready to reheat, preheat your oven to 300℉ and bake for 6-8 minutes, until warmed through. You can also add to a toaster oven or air fryer for a few minutes.
These taste really good cold as well - so feel free to skip any reheating if you want.
