Equipment

  • Dutch Oven with Lid
  • Silicone Spoon
  • Food-Grade Bamboo Toothpicks optional - for serving

Ingredients

  • 1 cup blueberry jam
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 20 ounces frozen meatballs my bag contained about 40 meatballs

Instructions

  • On low heat, melt together all ingredients except for the meatballs in a large dutch oven.
If your sauce is too thick, stir in ¼ cup of water.
  • Stir well, then pour in the meatballs from frozen.
  • Cover the pot with its lid, and cook the dish for 10 minutes or until the meatballs are warmed through.
  • Serve alongside bamboo toothpicks for a grab & go bite, or top bowl of brown rice with the meatballs. Enjoy!

Notes

Tips & Tricks:
If using homemade meatballs (like my juicy chicken meatballs), be sure to cook them completely before adding to the sauce. Then, just warm them through and serve.

Substitutions:
Instead of homemade blueberry jam, try grape or cranberry!
You can also use sweet chili sauce in place of BBQ sauce.
