Make a batch of frozen yogurt bark whenever you want a healthier dessert, a portable breakfast, or an easy and fun snack. It's packed with lots of protein from the Greek yogurt, and fiber from all the berries. Plus, it's fun to decorate - bring the kids into the kitchen to help finish the dish!

    Ingredients

A wooden board containing bowls of yogurt, berries, coconut shreds, syrup, and vanilla extract.
    • Greek Yogurt - I love using Greek yogurt for the extra protein and probiotics. You can also use plain, vanilla, or strawberry yogurt.
    • Maple Syrup - Since the recipe callas for plain yogurt, we're going to add a bit of pure maple syrup for sweetness.
    • Toppings - The possibilities are endless! Fresh berries, homemade granola, crushed nuts, even chopped dark chocolate. I have a list of suggestions below!

    Variations and Substitutions

Sweeteners: You can use syrup, agave, honey, or even simple syrup to sweeten the yogurt.

Fruit Ideas: Any fruit that freezes well works great on these. Berries, peaches, kiwi, mangoes, or even dried fruits like cranberries and apricots.

Other Toppings: Add a little bit of a crunch with granola, chia seeds, nuts, or sunflower seeds.

Swirls: You can drizzle melted chocolate, peanut butter, or caramel on top. I've also swirled it through the yogurt base for a pretty look.

How to Make Frozen Yogurt Bark

Making yogurt bark can't be easier. It's a great recipe to get creative with your favorite add-ins or toppings, and it only takes about an hour and a half to set in the freezer!

A bowl with Greek yogurt and maple syrup before mixing.

Step 1: To begin, combine your Greek yogurt, sweetener, & vanilla extract together in a bowl until mixed.

Spread the yogurt onto a parchment paper-lined baking tray into an even layer.

Step 2: Next, top with your favorite fruits, granola, and chopped nuts.

Freeze for 1 to 2 hours, until firm.

Finally, cut the mixture into pieces using a knife ran under hot water (and then dried with a towel), or break it with your hands. Enjoy!

    Recipe Pro Tip

    1. Avoid that freezer taste. Crowded freezer? Cover the pan with plastic wrap before freezing to fend off any unwelcome tastes or smells.

    Recipe FAQs

My yogurt bark is sticking to the pan. What gives?

Be sure to line the sheet pan with parchment paper before adding the yogurt. This helps the slices easily lift off of the pan after they've frozen!

How long will frozen yogurt bark keep?

Store these in an airtight freezer bag in the freezer for up to 2 months.

My twin toddlers love these during the scorching Arizona days! I use coconut yogurt to avoid dairy sensitivities and it still freezes wonderfully.
