Homemade Mango-Kiwi popsicles are a great no-sugar-added option to satisfy your sweet tooth and keep cool in the summer! Bonus points if you add actual kiwi slices to the popsicle molds for that pretty visual effect.

I know I say this every time, but Vol. 4 of my summer miniseries is definitely my new favorite - Homemade Mango-Kiwi Popsicles! These are honestly SO tasty - the combination of a sweet, ripe mango base and a slightly tart kiwi stuffed into the middle of the popsicle is just amazing. And these are incredibly easy to make, not to mention - we don't need any added sugar!

    Ingredients

    • Fresh Mango - Fresh, ripe mangoes are going to give these popsicles all of the sweetness we need. I've cut up a fresh one, frozen it, then thawed it a bit for this recipe with great results.
    • Fresh Kiwi - I definitely recommend fresh kiwi for this recipe, especially so you can slice them up and add any extras to the popsicles! Plus, I don't think I've ever seen frozen kiwi somewhere? Let me know if you have them in your local stores.
    • Lemon Juice - I’ll let you in on a little trick. Lemon or lime juice, just a teaspoon, helps add some acidity plus reduces the “icy” texture you’d normally get with freezing fruit. It’s a small addition that truly works overtime in making a beautifully-textured popsicle.

    How to Make Mango-Kiwi Popsicles

Homemade popsicles are super simple to make. You just drop everything in a blender, pour the mixture into molds, and freeze!

The base of this popsicle is a mixture of mostly mangoes and a bit of kiwi. Some people prefer to drain the mix after it's blended to get rid of the kiwi seeds, but I love the look of those seeds sprinkled within the pops! And you'll save a dish to wash.

Take any extra kiwi slices and pop them in the middle of your molds. Pour in the mango-kiwi mixture, add in the popsicle sticks and freeze overnight for best results.

I got my molds from Amazon - see this link. It comes with a set of popsicle sticks/bags as well as a funnel to help with pouring. I really like this mold because it was easy to remove the popsicles while they were done and cleaning was a breeze!

    FAQs

How do you remove homemade popsicles from the popsicle mold?

To easily remove popsicles from their mold, simply run some warm water over the bottom of the molds for about a minute. Using silicone molds, you can also slightly peel the mold away from the edges. Pull the popsicles out, and you're good to go!

I'm not a fan of kiwi. Can I use anything else?

Sure! Try strawberry-mango, pineapple-mango, or any other fruit you really enjoy.

How do you store homemade Mango-Kiwi Popsicles?

I just store any leftover homemade popsicles in a large freezer bag. The popsicle mold I linked to also includes popsicle bags, so you can individually wrap them if you want!

    Instructions

    • Add all of the ingredients into a blender and blend well.
    • Pour the mixture into a popsicle mold. If you have extra kiwi slices, add them to the middle of the molds for a professional look!
    • Tap the mold to get out any air bubbles, then cover and add your popsicle sticks.
    • Freeze for at least 6 hours. I've found that overnight is best!
    • To remove the popsicles from their molds, run warm water over the bottom of the popsicle mold. Remove the popsicles and serve immediately.
    • Any excess popsicles can be wrapped in cellophane bags & added to a freezer-safe Ziploc bag. Enjoy!
