- Total Cost (3 servings): $1.96
- Those Other Guys: $4.99 per serving
Ingredients
- Egg Roll Wrappers - Our base for these pizza cups is going to be egg roll wrappers, cut into 4 pieces, and doubled up to provide extra support for our hearty toppings. You can also use wonton wrappers if you have those.
- Turkey Pepperoni - I'm a HUGE fan of turkey pepperoni, since we don't eat pork in our household. But, you can substitute for pork or beef in a pinch.
- Pizza Sauce - Make your own, or use your favorite jarred variety!
- Shredded Mozzarella - You can't have pizza without cheese! Any type of pizza-type cheese will work here, including a blend of mozzarella, parmesan, and provolone
- Garlic Butter - I don't think I have a pizza recipe on the blog without including garlic butter... brushing a combo of butter, olive oil, and Italian seasonings on the pizza cups just truly takes the flavor to another level.
Topping Ideas
Basically, any pizza topping should work well on these pizza cups - just chop them into small even pieces! Try some of these suggestions:
Protein Options: Spicy Italian sausage, mushrooms, or BBQ chicken.
Veggie Options: Red onion, Bell peppers, or black olives.
Dairy Options: Goat cheese, crumbled feta, or freshly shredded gouda.
Sauce Options: Homemade nut-free pesto sauce, Alfredo, or a garlic-parmesan sauce are all great ideas!
How to Make Pizza Cups with Egg Roll Wrappers
This is a super easy recipe that can be ready to go in less than 15 minutes of cook time! Making these muffin tin pizza cups with kids or your friends at a DIY party would be an excellent idea.
Step 1: Start by spraying your muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray.
Cut the egg roll wrappers into fours. If using wonton wrappers, skip this step.
Step 2: This is what they should look like at the end.
Step 3: Next, double-layer each pizza cup by placing two squares of wrappers in each cavity of the muffin tin.
Step 4: Add your homemade or jarred pizza sauce - about one tablespoon.
Step 5: Sprinkle in your favorite cheese blend.
Step 6: Finally, top with the remainder of your pizza toppings, then brush with garlic butter.
Bake for about 8 minutes until golden brown.
Recipe Pro Tips
- Don't forget your cooking spray. To avoid the wonton wrappers sticking to the pan, spray the muffin tin generously with non-stick cooking spray.
- Watch your oven temperature. Because the edges of these pizza cups are thin, they can easily burn. So, you want to make sure you check your pan. We're mostly heating everything up so it shouldn't take long to finish in the oven!

I made a huge bunch of these for my wife's promotion game night party! Some vegan, some classic pepperoni, and a Hawaiian version (her favorite flavor.) Very quick and easy to make; they also tasted fantastic!
