Green Goddess Dressing is fresh, herby, and light. This creamy dressing can be a salad dressing or a delicious dip for veggies and bread! It comes together in 5 minutes using a blender or food processor.

Making your own homemade salad dressing is so quick and easy, and the taste is miles ahead of the store-bought stuff! Our green goddess dressing is made with fresh herbs, vegetables, and a few pantry staples. It's a great, herbaceous dish that's easy to customize with items you already have in your kitchen.

The Coined Breakdown
- Total Cost per fl. oz.: $0.30
- Total Cost (about 12.5 fluid ounces): $3.73
- Those Other Guys: $.60 per fl. oz.
Ingredients

- Fresh Herbs - The base of this dressing is fresh herbs, and you can use whatever is already in your fridge. I recommend at least 3 for a nice variety of flavor. Here, we're using fresh parsley, cilantro, and dill.
- Greek Yogurt - For creaminess and that subtle tang needed in the dressing.
- Garlic & Shallot - Extra flavor! I've also roasted these before adding to the food processor.
- Jalapeño - You can control the amount of spice by the seeds. If you don't want any fire, simply remove all of the seeds before adding in.
- Lemon - For some brightness, we use both the juice and the zest.
- Avocado Oil - Helps to emulsify the dressing, or fully combine all of the ingredients.
- Ranch Seasoning, Salt, and Pepper - Granted, the extra salt and pepper is added at the very end, and only to taste! But the ranch seasoning is a yummy seasoning blend to give a great flavor to our dip.
Variations and Substitutions
For the fresh herbs: You can use all types of fresh herbs like mint, basil, chives, or tarragon.
For the seasoning blend: If you can't find ranch seasoning, simply use a combination of salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Dairy-Free Green Goddess Dressing: Substitute the Greek yogurt for cashew cream or another plain, dairy-free yogurt.
How to Make Green Goddess Dressing

Step 1: Add all of your ingredients to a food processor or blender.

Step 2: Blend until all ingredients are combined and you have a silky smooth dressing.
Recipe Pro Tips
- Want a thinner dressing? Add a little more water to thin it out.
- To spice or not to spice. The jalapeño provides a lot of flavor. If you like heat, keep in a majority of the seeds. If you want a completely mild dressing, remove all of the seeds before adding the veggie into the food processor.
